Random Name Picker
Slumpgenerator's Random Name Picker is perfect if you need to randomize a name from a list or draw lots to determine order.
It can be used, for example, at a standup (morning meeting) to randomize speaking order, at a lottery to draw names, or in a classroom to randomly decide who should answer a question.
Of course, the list doesn't have to contain only names – you can randomize anything you want, your creativity sets the limits!
How to draw a random name
Add every name you want to randomize between and then start the draw with the button. The generator calls one name at a time without repeats, and when all names have been used you can start over or reopen the list to edit the participants.
Draw lots
Drawing lots works similarly to randomizing names. But instead of entering participants' names, you enter numbers, letters, or whatever is considered a "lot".
Do you find it harder to draw lots than to randomize names? Feel free to give feedback by pressing the "Feedback" button and filling out the form.
Randomize names
Enter the names of the participants and press "Randomize name" to choose one of the names at random. When all names have been drawn, a lovely shower of confetti confirms this and you get the chance to start over.
If you want a visual wheel experience, you can use our Spin the Wheel to randomize names and other options.
Random Generator is a website with several random generators, and this one works as an online app for drawing names.
